Dollie L. (Shepherd) Hix, 92, of Batesville passed away July 8, 2022. She was born March 16, 1930 in Stone County, Arkansas to Roy A. Shepherd and Eula (Cain) Shepherd.
Dollie loved cooking, canning and baking. She loved working as a LPN and enjoyed spending time with her residents. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening in her spare time.
She is survived by two sons, William Hix and David Hix of Cord; two daughters, Janetta Hughes of Rogers and Kathy Roach of Cord; twelve grandchildren, Cindy Sherman, Tracy Grissom, Lois Ward, Shannon Hix, Amie Bristow, Dustin Brashers, Derrick Brashers, Kayla Crawford, Chad Goff, Erika Magar, Kristin Dunivan and Violet Roach; seventeen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Bea Turner.
Dollie was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, William Hix; her parents; two daughters, Tessie and Teressa; three son-in-laws, George Roach, Curtis Caughron, and Bob Hughes; one brother, Barney Shepherd and one sister, Parlee Cossey.
Pallbearers are Chad Goff, Shannon Hix, Dylan Brashers, Tra Grissom, Kyler Grissom and Timothy Sherman.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 11, 2022 at 2:00pm at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville with Tracy Grissom officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.

As an LPN student in the late 80’s, Dollie took many of us under her wing. She would tell the right & correct way to do things & why! Very easy to make a lasting impression when you are nice & polite & professional. My prayers are with family & friends.
