Dear Don, Bruce, Kenny and Sammy,

I am saddened to learn of the recent passing of Inez. So many memories our families shared through the years, be it school activities, or baseball games, or community gatherings in Batesville. Such sweet times. Inez was a Godly woman and a wonderful wife and mother. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you during this time of loss and grief.

Sincerely, Robert Ford, Jr. (Ron Ford and Becky Ford Doster).
I was a long-time resident of Batesville, but now reside in Tucker, GA with my daughter and son-in-law. I will be 96 this September.

Mrs. Helm was the best typing teacher with her patience and encouragement. The next year I learned office skills that helped me become a typsetter as a profession. Mrs. Helm was a gracious lady, an excellent teacher, and a good disciplinarian keeping the class orderly, and yet enjoyable. She was beloved by so many.

Mrs. Helm very much believed in getting a good education and that a good education can make all the difference. That’s one of the reasons she wanted to be a teacher. She loved teaching, and again that stems from her loving to be around people, loving to help people. I cherish my time teaching with Mrs. Helm
