Daisy Thompson

of Batesville,

January 22, 1944 - July 6, 2022

Daisy Thompson of Batesville departed this life on July 6, 2022 to join her Lord and Savior. Daisy was born to Everett (Cricket) and Oma Rodgers Brokaw, on January 22, 1944 in Ash Flat, Arkansas. On April 27, 1962, she married her childhood friend and true love of her life, Ernest (Ernie) Thompson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernie; her parents, Cricket and Oma; one brother, Charles Brokaw; six sisters, Juanita, Elfreida and Billie Brokaw, Naomi Rohrscheib, Betty Harris White and Earlene Burrow White and several uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces.
Daisy is survived by her precious baby brother, Ira G. Brokaw (her first baby) of Pfeiffer; two treasured sisters, Jean Bynum of Batesville and Bernice Mingues of Cushman; honorable son and daughter, Mac Brokaw and Bernita James and several much loved nephews and nieces.
Daisy was first and foremost a born again Christian. She wrote and sang gospel songs to the glory of God. She put faith and family first. She lived her faith and witnessed to any and all of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. She was a sacrificial daughter, devoting years of her life to the care of her aged/ailing parents. She was an honorable wife and devoted her care and attention to her beloved husband in his terminal illness. She never gave birth to a child, but she mothered many. First and foremost her baby brother, Ira, then several, if not all of her nephews and nieces, considered her a bonus mom or grandma. Her entire life revolved around her loved ones. She had a way of making everyone in her life feel special and loved. Her greatest desire was to know her entire family had accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior. Her beautiful smile, loving, gentle voice and contagious laughter will be truly missed.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 8, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Ira Brokaw and Wally Varner officiating.
Burial will be at Weaver's Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers are Brandon Brokaw, Bryce Brokaw, Byron Pratt, Evan Stidham, Ricky Harris and Cody Martin.
Honorary Pallbearers are Joseph Farris and Butch Stephens.

This isn't a Goodbye, aunt Daisy. I'll see you again soon. Thank you for bringing so much joy and the laughter we have shared these past few years. I'm so thankful I were able to have spent the time I had with you. The moments sharing God's word were my favorite. Thank you aunt Daisy for loving me like Jesus does! I Love you, Misty Dawn
