Johnnie Lois Collins, age 80, of Western Grove, passed away Monday, July 4th, 2022 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 10th, 1941 in Newton County, Arkansas to John K. Ricketts and Daisy Lee (Martin) Ricketts. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Roy Lynn Ricketts, Orvin Gene Ricketts, and Gary Lee Ricketts; two brothers-in-law, Verlin Collins and James Henry Collins; one sister-in-law, Dollie Keefer; one son-in-law, David Morse, and one grandchild, Aron Nathaniel Romero.

Johnnie loved the Lord. She went to church actively and enjoyed singing church songs. She enjoyed listening to religious songs with her husband. She also enjoyed gardening, fishing, and cooking. Visitors would never leave her house hungry. She loved her family fiercely and was proud of everything they accomplished. She was an awesome mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Leroy Collins of Western Grove; three daughters, Brenda Lee Morse of Dover, Arkansas, Linda and her husband, Loren Hauge of Harrison and Connie Sue and her husband, Randy Reese of Valley Springs; one sister, Vona Lou and her husband, Roy Coleman of Atkins, Arkansas; two brothers, Dorvin Glen and his wife, Rosemary Ricketts of Western Grove and Ronnie Dale and his wife, Hilda Ricketts of Piercetown, Arkansas; three brothers-in-law, Jay Collins of Nevada, Missouri, Earnon D. Collins of Jerico Springs, Missouri and Berrlin Collins of Denver, Colorado; one sister-in-law, Mary Ricketts Gentry of Omaha, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Randy Ray Jr. and his wife, Sarah Reese, Jennifer Dawn Hampton, Chad Everett Hampton, and Daniel Leroy Hauge; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter Ray, Havannah Rae, Shane, Alessa, Ethan, Raven, and Elena; nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.


Visitation was Friday, July 8th, 2022 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

The funeral service was Saturday, July 9th, 2022 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Bro. Nathan Middleton and Bro. Dorvin Ricketts officiating.

Burial was at Western Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Hunter Reese, Randy Reese Jr., Roger Ricketts, Jason Ricketts, Daniel Hauge, and Gary Ricketts Jr.

Honorary pallbearers were Ethan and Evan Hauge, Daniel and Josh Coleman, Chad Hampton, Wesley Ricketts, Michael Ricketts, Shawn Edwards, Dr. Jain and the Valve team at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Dr. Ken Collins and staff in Harrison, Arkansas.

Johnnie was such a sweet woman. She seemed to love everyone! I always loved it when she called me "honey" because her voice was so comforting and it came from her good loving heart!!

So sorry for your loss. I enjoyed knowing Johnnie and her family for many years. I enjoyed going to church with her. She always told me she loved me and showed the love of God in her life. We pray that peace and comfort is given to the family. We can meet her in Heaven.

Brenda, Linda, Connie & Leroy, I just learned of your mother’s/ wife’s passing. I am so sorry to learn this! I didn’t know her well, but as a ( then teenage) friend of you girls, what I did know of her, she was a wonderful mom/ wife, and very welcoming & kind! She was always so proud of her girls!
