Doris Evelyn Pressgrove, 96, of Paragould, AR passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 in Jonesboro, AR at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born June 13, 1926 in Fontaine, AR to Joseph and Ella (Wicker) Wright. Doris was a homemaker and of the Baptist belief. She loved cooking and most of all, her family.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, Talmadge "Bo" Pressgrove; a daughter, Ginger Pressgrove and siblings, Raymond Wright, Dossie Wright, Florine Wood, Edith Jones, Elnora Niemeyer, Opal Whitner, Cleavie Godeaux and Flossie Westmoreland.
Those left behind to cherish the wonderful memories of Doris include her daughter, Donna (Lloyd) Wallace; grandchildren, Lindsay (Randy) Phillips and Jeremy (Lauren) Wallace and great grandchildren, Reid Phillips, Wright Wallace, Coleman Wallace and Jack Wallace.
Services will be 1 pm Friday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro with Randy Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park at Marion, AR.
Visitation will precede the service beginning at 12 pm.
Jeremy Wallace, Randy Phillips, Michael Todd, Tony Godeaux, Rickey Posey and Bill Bardin will serve as pallbearers. Terry Westmoreland, Mark Westmoreland, Eric Wilcoxson, Aaron Thornton, Reid Phillips, Wright Wallace, Jack Wallace and Coleman Wallace will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests lasting memorials be made in Doris' name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
