Theresa Marie Bennett Luther was born on February 29, 1984 in Houma, Louisiana. She left us surrounded by loving family and her best friend, Danille Hicks, on June 28, 2022 after a two-year battle with Glioblastoma.
Theresa's smile was joyous and infectious, she could light up your soul with that smile. She had her Daddy's sense of humor and frequently made us laugh, all the way up to the end. She was caring and always kind. She loved music of all kinds, tie-dye and lots of color. The more something sparkled the better. Fairies and fantasy entertained her, as did scary movies, especially when shared with her friends. She was a talented writer, though she kept her work private.
Theresa loved her brother, Trey Bennett, so much. He sorely misses his ''sober sister, problem solver''. She was a wonderful sister that always supported and protected her brother.
She is survived by her parents, Dara Bennett and Robert Bennett, Jr.; her brother, Robert Bennett III (Trey); she adored her nephews, Jackson Bennett and Brooks Bennett and her grandfather, Davis Newman. Her aunts, Allison (Bill) Bailey, Cassandra (Sandy) McBeath, Dana (Ramon) Espinosa, Darla (Alan) Stimpson, Delana (Christopher) Wells and Uncles, Dwayne Stephens and William (Allyson) Sapp. Her husband, Jacob Luther.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Sandra Newman and William Daniel Sapp; Robert Bennett Sr., Jonelle McClurkin and Doug McClurkin Sr.
Her services will be held July 8, 2022 at 11:30 am at Roller Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 9:30 until the start of the service. Burial will follow at 2:45 pm at Garden of Memories in Oxford, Mississippi, where she will be laid to rest beside her grandfather, Robert Bennett, Sr.
