Deanna June Canady, age 83, of Malvern died Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Encore Healthcare and Rehab. She was born on June 13, 1939 in Jamestown, Arkansas to the late Walter Bachman and Edith Marie Mitchell Bachman. Reared and educated in Desha, Arkansas, she had been a resident of Malvern since 1980. She was a homemaker and the widow of the late John E. Canady, to whom she was married to on august 9, 1960 in Festus, Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2011. Mrs. Canady was a member of the Jamestown Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Michael Edward Canady and his wife, Stacey of Springdale; her daughter, Cheryl Overton and her husband, Todd of Malvern; a sister, Betty Bufford of Desha and a grandson, Todd Michael Overton and his wife, Desiree.
Mrs. Canady was also preceded in death by a grandson, Dustin Michael Overton and a sister, Shirley Waldene Floyd.
Graveside services will be on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 10:00 am at Kyler Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

I am saddened to learn of the passing of Deanna. She and Johnny were beloved by all in the Jamestown Community and the Jamestown Missionary Baptist Church where so many of us worshipped for several years while living in Jamestown. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
