Betty Peronia, 88, of Jonesboro, peacefully passed away, Thursday, May 12, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 7, 1933 in Black Oak to Lealon and Edna (Pursley) Cummings. Betty worked for Dupont and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and loved cats, especially Boots and AllyMae.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband of 50 years, Duffy Peronia; daughter, Carolyn Cooper and 4 siblings.
Survivors include son, Doug Peronia; daughter, Cathy (Terry) Graddy; nine grandchildren, Ben (Vedrana) Cooper, Katie Cooper, Anna Cooper, Beth Cooper, Burt Graddy, Chris (Shauna) Graddy, Andera (Tracy) Schmidt, J. D. (Jessica) Peronia, Levi Peronia; seven great grandchildren, Dalton Graddy, Scarlett Graddy, Jade Peronia, Harper Cooper, Ryan Cooper, Nathan Schmidt, Alle Graddy; four great-great grandchildren, Cordon, Nolan, Colt and Rhett Sims; brother, Rudy (Barb) Cummings; sisters, Shirley (Glenn) Murphy and Joy (Dennis) Lingo; sister in laws, Louise Cummings and Ann Cummings.
Funeral service will be Sunday, May 15, 2022, 2:00 pm at Roller-Farmers Funeral Home, 1900 W. Washington Ave, with Tommy Herndon officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of service.
Grandsons Burt Graddy, Chris Graddy, J.D. Peronia, Levi Peronia, Ben Cooper, and Tracy Schmidt will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Dalton Graddy.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Betty’s passing. She introduced Mrs. Linda to my family many years ago and Mrs. Linda soon became a part of our family.
We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers. Mrs. Betty was a very special lady and I know you will miss her dearly.
