Dorothy "Dot" Brown, age 73 of Harrison, passed away on April 21, 2022. Dot was born January 31, 1949, to Willis and Gladys Ruby (Sisson) Buell in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Dorothy "Dot" grew up in Wilmot, Kansas, and attended high school in Atlanta, Kansas. She married Gerald Adams, later divorcing. She was married to Phillip Brown until his death in 1991. She worked for Winfield State Hospital until it closed and then worked for Wichita work release until she retired in 2005. She moved to Arkansas to be near her daughter and family after retirement. She attended the Methodist Church in Omaha until it closed. She served on the ladies' auxiliary for the Omaha Fire Department. She moved to Harrison and was secretary for the senior center.
Dorothy never met a stranger; she could make friends with anyone. She loved flea markets and yard sales. Keeping her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in clothes. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it.
Celebration of Life was held Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with Brother Ohmer Dyal officiating.
Interment was Monday, May 2, 2022, at Wilmot Cemetery, 7801 151st Road, Winfield, Kansas 67156.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Omaha Fire Department, Omaha, Arkansas 72662, Senior Center, 501 E. Rush Avenue, Harrison, Arkansas 72601
Dorothy we love you and you're going to be missed. I lost my mom Saturday morning now the world has lost two great women. But the Lord gained two angel's.
She will definitely be missed by many, but never forgotten.
Dorothy was always one to help out any one she could. She would strike up a conversation with anyone. She will be missed.

Very sweet very loving woman she will be missed worked with her as a member of the Omaha fire department she was always so kind and sweet she will be deeply missed.

I always loved Dorothy's positive attitude. We worked at Wichita Work Release together and have stayed in touch through the years. I'll miss her as well as her laughter.
