James Stinson, age 89, of Flippin, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home. He was born June 13, 1932, in Lafayette, Tennessee, to James Stinson and Ruth (Garmon) Stinson. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mildred Brawner; and three brothers-in-law, Herb Brawner, Raymond Lowrey, and Loy Baird.

James was a member of the Flippin Church of Christ. In Illinois, he served as a Deacon at a Church of Christ. On his free time he enjoyed riding his tractor, woodworking, working on old clocks, and spending time with his precious grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ada Fern Fullerton; two daughters, Vickie and her husband Rick Beel of Flippin and Dawn Stinson of Flippin; two sons, Tom and his wife Linda Stinson of Nashville, Tennessee and David and his wife Vicky Stinson of Spokane, Washington; one brother, Larry and his wife Judy Stinson of Plano, Texas; two sisters, Betty Baird of Garland, Texas and Jeanne Lowery of Dallas, Texas; many adoring nieces and nephews; fifteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and a host of wonderful friends.

Services are private with Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.

Jim and I both drove a JOY bus at Sunnyside church of christ. When I got a divorce Jim was there for support which I needed badly. I know he will be missed.
