Mary Marguerite Bevel Tidwell, age 63, of Conway, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at her home peacefully with family in Greenbrier, Arkansas. She was born May 2, 1958 in Helena, Arkansas to the late Nancy Lancaster Bevel Carroll and Charles Edward Bevel, Sr. Mary was a member of Faith Outreach Church in West Helena, Arkansas. Sewing was her number one passion and she also enjoyed fishing, shopping, quilting and most of all, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jessica Coffer of Conway and Leslie Henderson (Jimi) of Greenbrier, Arkansas; six grandchildren, MaKayla Stewart, Sierra Wilson, Spencer Robinson, Lillian Bevel-Strouse, Jasmine Strouse, and Izabella Strouse; brother, Charles Bevel, Jr. (Diann) of Independence, Mississippi; three sisters, Carol Tucker of Smyrna, Georgia, Teresa Allen of Mobile, Alabama, and JoAnn Surguine (Richard) of Gould, Arkansas; two uncles, Jimmy Bevel of West Helena, and Wayne Bevel of West Helena; two aunts, Gayle Chism (Ray) and Linda Bevel; a special friend, Mack Barnes; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Esters Tidwell; parents; maternal grandparents, Jessie and Edward Lancaster; paternal grandparents, Gracie Lee and James C. Bevel; brother, Charles Locklear; step mother, Nellie Mae Bevel; and her best friend, Vicy Stokes.
A graveside service for Mrs. Mary Tidwell will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2022 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Brother Mal Stokes and Sister Lynn Corbitt will officiate.
