June 29, 1950 - March 14, 2022

Ted Gary Branscum, 71, of Newark passed away March 14, 2022.

He was born June 29, 1950 in Batesville to Ulis and Ruby (McClain) Branscum.

Ted was a master craftsman who was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two brothers, Allen Craig Branscum (Patsy) of Pfeiffer, and Shelby Eugene Branscum of Gainsboro, as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Etheleen Looney, Ona Jackson, Ula Mae Branscum, and Beulah Branscum; and two brothers, Glenn Dean Branscum and Afton Edmon Branscum.

Honorary pallbearers are his nephews and great nephews.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 10:00am at Maple Springs Cemetery with Danny Rodgers officiating.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville.

Ted was always such a sweet man. Always had the most pleasant smile. I always enjoyed when he made some awesome new furniture for Ashley when she was little because I got to play on it to. He was so talented with his woodwork.

Today we lost a very Sweet Precious Soul. Ted was a gentle and fine man. He was a gifted fellow, and he was special in his quiet ways. Our loss, Heavens gain. We will miss him! Resting in peace, no more pain. Our loving sympathy to the Brothers, and all those closest to Ted. God Bless you Kelly for being there for Teddy Bear... He had an angel in you!!
