This is such a punch in the gut. He was a buddy. . I have tried to call Kevin the last few months to no avail so I googled him today and got his obituary. He and I traveled to Arthur Hatfield's together to get a banjo. Kevin would send be some great banjo playing for a Christmas card. What a good guy. What a fun guy. Great banjo player. He was big time. And I loved his passion and knowledge. he gave me some personal correspondence from Sonny Osborne and told me to get it back to him sometime. Maybe he knew something that I didn't. Rest in peace good friend.
Prayers from me and Cindy.
I am so sorry for your loss. We all loved Kevin so much and he was so talented. Unfortunately, I have a broken ankle and unable to drive at this time and cannot attend the service. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

This is a day of sadness for now but when the Trumpet shouts I will be glad to see him again at the marriage supper of our Savior as well as many others we have lost in this life that are also waiting to hear the Trumpet sound. I was glad to know Kevin in the short time that I did in school and our first class reunion. He played well on his banjo and I can't help but think of the scripture Ephesians 5:19 that says "speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord". The Greek word for melody is psallo and it means to thrum a stringed instrument. Will he be throming his banjo, OF COURSE! I pray for all of you who knew and loved him, that you will be comforted in that you had a friend in Kevin. And one day soon, suddenly, we who have our lanterns filled with oil will all be rejoicing! Sincerely, formerly Laura Turman
Kevin was a true friend to everyone.
Pauline, Nena, Keith and Todd, keeping you close in thought and prayer.
Kevin and I lost touch over the years until he tracked me down to inform me of a health condition with someone we both knew.
In 10 minutes, it was as we were caught up. We talked about kids, grandkids, playing music and the Lord.
Prayers for peace and comfort for all. We will see you in heaven someday brother.
Have you all in prayers and in my thoughts.
Kevin was and will always be in my heart and soul, my best friend, my confidant and the one who has always been my unconditional support person. He was the music in my life, the laughter when I am sad. The one who made me smile and see the world with humor. My life has been touched in so many ways by his presence. I will be missing you forever and always until we meet again in heaven.
Love,
Your Bestie Penny
So sorry for the loss of Kevin. We had a lot of great memories. Pauline, Nena, Keith, I can’t be at the service, but know you are all in my heart and prayers.
Although we only met on my visits to Cincinnati, I loved your warm and friendly nature and enjoyed our great banter. You will always be "Banjo Beatles" to me after our musical jam with "the boys" and Dan. Wish we could have spent more time jamming, drinking coffee and shooting the breeze. RIP Kevin my friend.
My friend, you will always be remembered.
So very sorry for this great loss! Love and prayers for this sweet family.ðŸ™ðŸ™â¤ï¸
So many wonderful childhood memories of Kevin, he was like a brother to me. We lived next door to each other for 12 years. I could listen to him play music for hours especially when he played the banjo. Prayers for the family. Love you all â¤ï¸
