Exposed to Open Eye Theater in 2021 through a friend Pip Merrick. She is active in the theater and through her had the opportunity to dine one evening with Mack and Beth. Lovely people. Later got to see them both on stage in one of the performances. Clearly, his passing will be a big loss for Open Eye.

Arthur, I just learned of Mack’s passing. I’m sorry that he passed so young and pray the family and his children will have peace in time. I remember some good times visiting your parent’s house in Arkansas while growing up.

Blessings for the years ahead,

We are thankful that we had the blessing to meet and know Mack through his relationship with our cousin, Beth. What fun we had attending July 4th celebrations, family gatherings, and visiting in our home. A favorite memory is our fishing together, on our small lake, in Olive Branch. He put in his best effort no matter what he was doing. Our hearts are broken to hear of his passing, but his memory will live on through his children and our moments spent with him. We will continue to pray for you, Beth, and his children. May God keep you close and provide comfort. We love you, Steve & Vicki

To the Oliver family, prayers and thoughts for Mack's family. I did not really know Mack as well as I knew Arthur, a fraternity brother at U of A in Fayetteville. Sherri and I will pray for the Oliver family.

I did not know Mr. Oliver personally. I believe I met him once. I do know his two beautiful children, Mack Jr. And Catherine. If their father gave them anything by nature or nurture I can not say as I didn’t know him. He must have had some good in him because his children loved him dearly. It pains me that he passed so young and that Mack and Catherine have to live without him as they are both so young. The family can be proud of these two children of Mr. Oliver. They are both kind, generous, talented in the arts, intelligent, caring and the world is better because they are in it. RIP Mr. Oliver,….. knowing that your children are the best!
