of Little rock, AR
January 15, 1946 - February 17, 2022
Kelton R. Brown, Jr. was born January 15, 1946, in Little Rock, the first-born son of Kelton Brown, Sr., and Mary Louise Keller. After graduating from Catholic High School, he entered the US Air Force. He served his country for 10 years, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant as a Personnel Specialist. He became a residential land developer and builder, creating numerous housing developments around Little Rock. Later in life, he acquired and managed dozens of apartments.
Kelton met his wife Valerie Jo (nee Colaianni) in 1977, and they married the following year. He was a thoughtfully generous husband and father, dedicated to his family. Kelton greatly enjoyed traveling with his wife and family, touring many countries throughout Europe and the Americas. But his "happy place" was always on Lake Hamilton, entertaining family and guests with his boundless hospitality. Whether filling your plate with his signature home-made breakfasts, refilling your coffee cup or wine glass, or driving you on his boat around the nooks and crannies of the lake, Kelton was at his happiest hosting a houseful of guests.
Survived by his wife Valerie J. Brown; siblings Mary Carroll Jordan (spouse Joe), Barbara Drews, Joseph Brown, Virginia Brown, Howell Brown (spouse Mary) and Monte Brown; children Tamara Adkins, Slade Brown, Kristen Brown, and Scott Brown; grandchildren Abby Adkins and Brady Adkins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Kelton Brown, Sr., and Mary Louise Keller.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Easterseals Arkansas, Center for Training and Wellness.

So sorry to hear this. Kelton and my husband were best friends in the Air Force. I saw him in 2017 and he seemed very happy. I am sure Rusty was there to greet you in heaven.

My dad was a strong man mentally and he knew how to work hard and achieve what he wanted. I've never met anyone that had the focus and drive that my dad had -The ability to make minimal mistakes in life. My dad loves staying busy and helping people when they needed it. I will always remember a image of him walking around kicking rocks off the street to the curbs and smoking a cigarette and talking small talk and laughing. And boy did he ever love to entertain if you came to my dad's house he fixed you breakfast- lunch- and dinner he made sure you're happy, every minute. My Dad was a Winner-

Kelton taught me a tremendous amount about real estate and I'm so very thankful.
Didn't see him often but when I did see him his smile massive and welcoming.
Rest In Peace Kelton Brown Jr.

I am Kelton Brown Jr's oldest first cousin. His mother Mary Louise Keller Brown is my mother's (Mabel Keller Cook) older sister,,,,,,,,,,,,Kelton is the 4th oldest in a Keller first cousin group of 42 individuals, only three of whom are little older than Kelton.........no family likes for the order of death to be different than the order of birth..........
May Kelton Brown be resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

I am so saddened by Kelton's passing. He was the best landlord I could have ever asked for. From the first time he met my family, he treated me like a daughter, helped me with my car issues, just anything to make sure me and my son were safe. He had the best personality, and I know he adored his family and going out of town the most!
The weather was bad this past week, and all I could think about was "man, Kelton would be on that tractor right now, making sure the ice was out of the way for us to get out safe."
My prayers are with you all, it was an honor to know Kelton, and I wish he knew how much he truly impacted my life and will be missed by anyone who knew him.

Valerie, Randy and I were so very sorry to hear of Kelton's passing. We are praying for you, Kristen, Scott and the rest of the family for peace and comfort.

We are so Sorry for your loss

Val I am so sorry for your loss. I am praying for you and your family.

Kelton when I get there I my have to climb over the gates. I know they were open wide for you My Friend. Much Love. You will be missed.

Mike and I were saddened to hear of Kelton's passing. We worked with him 15-20 years ago when we purchased a lot in a subdivision he was developing near your home. I even came to one of your ''Neighborhood Christmas parties'' that year, even though we had not started construction. We subsequently ended up selling the property, and didn't end up getting to be neighbors. But your hospitality and Kelton's helpfulness will always be remembered! We will keep you in our prayers.

To the family of Kelton Brown:
You all have my deepest sympathy. Kelton was a great man and landlord. He will be terribly missed. I am so sorry for your loss.
