Avis Jodene (Powell) McCook, 85, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on February 1, 2022. Jo was born on March 14, 1936 in Fairview, Arkansas to the late Lawton and Eloy (Farris) Powell. Jo was a homemaker who will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Jo is survived by one daughter, Sharon Mills; two grandchildren, Cara Stewart and husband Scott and Stan Mills and wife DeSha; four great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Stewart, Jadyn Stewart, Chloe Mills, and Erin Mills.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Lawton and Eloy (Farris) Powell; husband, Eddie ''Leon'' McCook and siblings, Alvis Powell, Geraldine Betty Sue Loudenslager, Betty Lou Drake, and Wilma Lou Hale.
Jo was laid to rest on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 1:30 PM next to her husband, Eddie ''Leon'' McCook at Pordue Cemetery in Onia, Arkansas.
