Shirley Jean Fluharty, 81, of Sherwood, passed away February 1, 2022.
She was born September 11, 1940, in Little Rock, to Earl and Ruth Hammond. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Shirley was a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Robert Fluharty; two sons, Kenneth (Jerri Anne) Fluharty of Little Rock and Wayne Fluharty of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Aaron Fluharty, Timothy Fluharty, and Mandy Curtis; and two great-grandchildren, Luna Fluharty and Carter Fluharty.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 9, at 10:00 a.m. with services at 11:00 a.m. at Baring Cross Baptist Church. Private burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Baring Cross Baptist Church.
Arrangements by Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock.

We can’t begin to express our sadness at Shirley’s passing. My mother always considered her one of “her girls.†Like your parents, she made a significant, positive influence on our lives. May the Lord bless you and keep you.

Our family loved Shirley and her husband Bob. We have so many great memories of going to church with them and the hospitality that they displayed. Shirley was always kind and had a smile on her face. We will keep your family in our prayers during this time.

Shirley was a great lady , a true friend to our family for over 36 years ! We are so thankful God placed her into our lives and feel as though she was a loving part of our family! She was always there for us , throughout our journey in life, to listen, to love through the ups and downs of life! A true example of sharing the love of Christ! She will be greatly missed ! She and Lois shared their love for one another through good times , trying times, and she was as close , a friend as one could ever wish for! Sending a Teddybear hug!!!
