Colette LeBlanc

of Mountain Home, AR

January 27, 2022

Colette LeBlanc, 75, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022. She was born on September 25, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, to Stanley Rogus and Dorothy (Mroz) Rogus.

Colette was a strong-willed, fun-loving woman who could always find a silver-lining in any situation. She relied on her faith, values, and sense of humor to bravely navigate the many challenges life presented. Whether you were family or friend, once accepted to her circle, it no longer mattered; you were family.

She loved cooking, baking, and entertaining. She never met a recipe she couldn't tweak, a craft she couldn't master, or a plant she couldn't nurture. Her stories made you howl with laughter or moved you to tears, often in the same story. And those were just a few of her many talents.

We no longer have her physically in our lives, but our lives are enriched by her presence in ours. We will never forget her. She was our teacher; our companion; our confidante; our best friend.

Colette is survived by her brothers Wayne (Annie) Deering, Ron (Ronette) Rogus; brother-in-law, Ken (Diane) Schuetz; children, Nancy Schuetz, Stephan Schuetz, and Heidi Schuetz; step-children, Dave (Linda) Jones, Mike (Bunny) Jones, Michael LeBlanc; Steve LeBlanc, Robby LeBlanc, and Sue (Dave) Epperson; grandchildren, Caitlin Salerno, Charles T. Schuetz, Connor Schuetz, Thomas Schuetz, Cody (Amanda) Jones, Luke (Kaylyn) Jones, Michael Deines, Samaria (Trevor) Winkler, Angel LeBlanc, and Amanda LeBlanc; great-grandchildren, Amaya Winkler, Zayne Winkler, Lenoxx Winkler, and Levi Jones; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Colette was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Charles R. Schuetz, Bob Jones, and Joseph V. LeBlanc; son, Charles E. Schuetz; stepdaughter, Valerie LeBlanc.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, February 11, 2022, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Out of respect for the family, please refrain from wearing perfume and cologne due to allergies. A private interment for the family will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.

We were so sad to hear about Colette. She was a wonderful lady and friend. She was always so sweet and always a pleasure to be around. She was a huge part of our retired military dinner group and so much fun. We will really miss her.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I first met Colette at BRMC. She was working in the Wellness Center on the third floor of the hospital. We started talking and discovered we went to St. Peter’s. That was the beginning of a beautiful acquaintance. We saw a lot of each other at St. Peter’s as both Joe and Roger were in the Knights of Columbus. While the husbands had their meetings, we wives would also meet and visit. Dinner out usually followed. I never saw Colette without a smile no matter what she was going through. I loved her wit, and she also told it like it was. I will miss her along with so many others. May Colette Rest In Peace and live in eternal light and love. She was a great lady.

Colette was a dear friend and I have so many good memories. Of our stays in Branson, hours of playing Spite and Malice (she usually won) and how she loved Daniel O’Donnel. We shared a lot and now she is at peace with the Lord. I pray for you Nancy, Heidi and Caiti. God bless you.

My condolences go out to all in the close and extended family, but particularly to Nancy, Heidi and Caitlin as I know them personally. This is a wonderful obituary and beautiful Colette surely feels the love and admiration people had for her. We should all live in such a way that people remember us so fondly. I wish her much peace on her soul's journey and know she'll be welcomed home with open arms by those who left before her.

Much love,
Laura

To my dearest sister Colette:
We’ve made many promises to each other over the span of our lifetime; all of them have been fulfilled. Now, I make one more to you. I promise to watch over Nancy, Heidi and Steven for the rest of my life and to love them as much as you would have. Yes you were my sister, but you also were my rock, my strength, and my true friend through all of our struggles while growing up. You will remain in my prayers and in my heart for eternity. I miss you sweetheart. I Love you,
Your brother-Ron❤️

She will be missed by everyone who came in contact with her. Who will I call when I need some insight or a good laugh Your mother was loved very much by me. 💔
