Terry Ernest Meitzen, 70, of Batesville passed away January 22, 2022 at home with his loving family around him. Terry was a Vietnam Veteran who became disabled due to a chemical exposure while in Vietnam. Peggy was the love of Terry's life. Everyone who knows these wonderful people knew it was their love that kept him alive so long.
He leaves behind his wife of 50 years Peggy Meitzen, children: Tammy & James Graham, Timothy & Carma Meitzen; Bob & Kate Meitzen, grandchildren: Cody Meitzen, Kylea Meitzen, Hunter Graham, Colton Graham, Kinley Meitzen, Whitt Meitzen, Brier Meitzen, Jennings Meitzen, and Riggs Meitzen; sister Dr. Mae Ellen Kelver & Ken Jencks, sister in law-Jane Van Boskirk, brother-in-law Stan & Anita Kading, sister-in-law Donna & Sam Mullis, step siblings: Mickey Yoder, Pattie Hutten, David Davis, Beverly Hopratschk, and Douglas Clark ,and many loving friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his little brother John Robert Meitzen(best friend), mother - Joyce Clark, father-Ernest Meitzen, mother-Virginia Kading, father-Donald Kading, brother-in-law-John Van Boskirk, many close friends, and Grandaddy (a grand Texan) in Heaven.
Pallbearers are Tim Meitzen, Bob Meitzen, James Graham, Cody Meitzen, Hunter Graham and Colton Graham.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Batesville with Father Stephen Gadbury officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 from 5:30pm until 7:00pm. Rosary will begin at 6:30pm at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel.

Dear Peggy: I just received the news about Terry. I realize words can't express the way i feel for you and your family for your loss. I realize you are glad he is out of pain as i was when Mike passed. I am still recovering from being in the Hosp. with Covid as my recovery has been very slow. Terry will be missed by so many of us as he was always trying to be helpful to anyone who needed help. I know the pain and confusion you will be going through; my prayers will be with you and your family and so many of Terrys friends who will always miss him. LOVE YOU GIRL, HANG IN THERE.

Terry was one of the wisest men I've ever known. He kept things honest and simple. I hate to see him go but I know he is with our creator and no longer in pain. Gonna miss you Terry. Tell Andy hello for us.
