George Wayne Thompson Jr., 82, of North Little Rock, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. He was born on January 18, 1940 in Stinson Lake, New Hampshire to the late George Sr. and Delia Marie Thompson. George served in the U.S. Air Force Airman 2nd class for the 556th Strategic Missile squadron SAC. He was a hard working and dedicated Husband, Father, and BoBo. George retired from Falcon Jet after several years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Wanda (Washam) Thompson, parents, and sons, George W. Thompson III and William C. Thompson, sister, Josephine Bixby, and brothers, James and Steve Thompson.
George is survived by son, Warner and Kim Thompson; daughter, Patti Jo Thompson; ten grandchildren, Payton Thompson, Mason Thompson, Justin (Ross) Thompson, Ashley Torres, Edward Torres, Courtney Thompson, Sydney Thompson, Lindsey Thompson, Jesse Thompson, and Jake Thompson; eighteen great-grandchildren, and four siblings, Marie Lamothe, Judy Tompkin, Joann Matthews, and Charlie Thompson.
A Graveside Service will be 1:00PM Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Mayflower Cemetery in Mayflower, AR.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas.
