September 3, 1940 - January 16, 2022
William ''Bill'' Reed, 81, of Sherwood, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022. He was born on September 3, 1940, in Little Rock, to the late Charles and Lela Reed.
Bill was a wonderful family man who lived to serve his family. With over 50 years of marriage, Bill and Mary raised a beautiful family together. Bill served not only his family, but his country by joining the Navy. He was part of the Prison Ministry for Pulaski County Jail and Wrightsville Unit for over 30 years, spreading the word of God through bible study. This was two of several places Bill would travel to make sure people knew God's love in times they needed it most. He enjoyed coaching youth baseball for over 15 years and was serious about his antique finds and coin collections. Bill was deeply loved, known as the best Poppa in the world to the grands he so adored.
He is survived by his wife, Mary V. Reed; sons, Ty (Robin) Reed and Danny Reed; grandchildren, Jordan (Brad) Sherrill, Cody (Parey), Courtney, Tyler, and Josh Reed; great grandchildren, Lynlee and Reed Sherrill, Parker, Collins, and Callum Reed, and Adalynn Runyan; and brother, George (Brenda) Reed
He is preceded in passing by his son, Steve Reed; and brothers, Charles, Robert, Harvey and Harold Reed.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 21, at 3:00 P.M., at Rest Hills Memorial in North Little Rock.

Mary,
William will certainly be missed, it will be hard to lose two of our first cousins so close together, Harvey and now William. I ask that God bless you and give you the strength and loving endurance it takes to get through this loss. It is very hard, but He enables us to to do it. He doesn’t say it will be easy, but He promises us we will see them again. I trust His word. Love, your cousin, Okla Reed Wood
