John Mark Ring

of Fairfield Bay, AR

July 14, 1964 - January 12, 2022

John Mark Ring was born in Festus Missouri on July 14, 1964 to parents Herman & Anna Ring. His parents pioneered and served as pastors in many churches throughout his childhood. He was raised in a loving home with three sisters and two brothers. He went to school at Hoxie School where he graduated in 1982. Afterwards he moved to Texas where he worked in the oil refineries. He joined the Army Reserve, and during his service, he was able to travel to many beautiful places including Italy. In 1990, he married the love of his life, Melissa Davis from Fox, Arkansas. His family grew as God blessed them with John Blake & Marissa Anne. Shortly after Marissa's birth, Mark began pastoring his first little church in Corning Arkansas, and has served in ministry for 30 years.

He was a skilled carpenter, and one of the hardest workers you can find. He had his own business for many years as Ring Remodel & Repair, and in the last 7 years has worked for Wyndham Resorts in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas.
He was a natural comedian, and displayed this gift even when ministering the word of God. He brought many smiles, and much laughter to anyone who spent time with him. We have never heard anyone play the saxophone more sweetly than Mark did. He often told us he would become lost in God's presence while playing it. He was anointed as he used his talents to bring glory to God. His love for his family has always been evident, and he is one of the greatest husbands, fathers and Papis in the World!
He loved treasure hunting, hiking, exploring caves, playing golf, as well as relaxing on the sands at the beach.

On Wednesday, January 12, 2022, John Mark Ring, finished his race and received his crown of righteousness from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He is preceded in death by his parents Herman & Anna Ring, and one daughter Rachel Grace.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Melissa Ring, (son) Blake & Gabby Ring, Wesley and (daughter) Marissa Lewis, (six grandchildren) Judah Lewis, Ellison Ring, Shepherd Lewis, Finley Ring, Lola Lewis, & Olive Ring. (Siblings) Roger Ring, Pam Davis, Sheila Ring, Terry Ring, & Dana Moore. Along with many other family and friends who are celebrating his life today!

As he ran his final mile, his passion was to share with others about being in ''relationship with God''. We all began to see the ''heart of our Heavenly Father'', in his last messages to us all. Our hearts were gripped and challenged not only to have a deeper relationship with God, but to see others develop one as well. Many lives have been changed by the vessel He has become! Pouring out the love of God to others, in such a way we could capture it! May our hearts burn to see the lost come into that Relationship He spoke of. May our hearts reach for the Father and hands extend to those who need Him to bring them together in relationship! Becoming that bridge: ''Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He is always making intercession for them.'' Hebrews 7:25.

Weather permitting, time of gathering to visit is scheduled On Saturday January 29th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Timbo Valley Assembly of God, Timbo Arkansas, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11:00 a.m. Pastor JC Seward officiating. Also sharing will be Blake Ring & Marissa Lewis, with music by Wesley Lewis and Blake Ring.

It is sad to see one by one our family leaving. Mark was always a joy to be around. Loved his sense of humor and laugh. Enjoyed watching his sermons on Facebook. God be with each of you tomorrow.

Thoughts of Mark and Melissa race through my mind as we worked together with Save One for a time. Very dedicated to the Lord and supportive of his wife was my memory of this man of God and a comedian at times also.

Melissa, you and your family are in my heart and prayers as I remember too well the pain we had to deal with in loosing my husband to cancer 6 years ago. The road to healing our hearts can be very lonely at times but oh so worth it so that we can once again become a vessel to be used again for hurting people. Praying for you and your sweet family, and remember heaven is not that far away, in fact it gets sweeter every year! May Mark's memory, love and dedication to the Lord and those he loved be remembered forever. Love you!

I first had the honor of meeting Mark when he, Melissa and I attended First Assembly of God in Mtn View, Ark. together in the early 90's. He was the best saxophone player that I had ever met and a great musician. I had the privilege of working with Mark for about a year after he got me a job at the Cedar Mill Factory in Mtn View and I will never forget sharing the word of God with him during lunch. We attended many revivals together and created a bond that I will always cherish. I will miss Mark more than words can express and heaven gained a great man to play in the heavenly choir.

We are so saddened by your loss but we know Mark would want us to rejoice in the fact that he is no longer in pain. That he can walk. No, I mean run the streets of gold. What a glorious time he must be having.
Watching his last video has impacted me to work harder to reach the lost and be a better example.
He was a wonderful man and loved his family like Christ loves the church.
Contined prayers of comfort for each of you.

We love you SO much! Thank you for who you are & always have been to us! You took time for me when I was a little girl to shoot hoops & were always kind to me when others seemed to not see me. You & Melissa took J.C. in when he had nowhere to go, you gave him a job, a place to live & food from your table. You became a true friend & mentor to him. You guys shared many days together at the Knot Hole, in the car rides to work, & at church. You guys opened up your pulpit to us at Corning, Ashdown & NLR. You were JC’s best man & he said you still are his best man! Later on, we were able to open our pulpit to you & our people at Gospel Lighthouse Church embraced y’all & love you more than you will know! You made us laugh, oh Lord, did you ever make us laugh…with your crazy jokes. I can’t believe we built our fence, put in a pool & built a deck in 3 days…the Seward 5 & the mighty Mark…we were all crazy by the end of it! You made us cry as you poured your heart out under the anointing of the Holy Ghost in word & in song! I’ve never ever heard anyone play the saxophone more sweetly than you! We just want to say thank you & we love you SO very much! You made it home! Heaven is sweeter! ❤️

Melissa, Marsha and the rest of the family,
My heart goes out to you since I lost my husband on the 9th.
The Lord must have needed His ministers for some reason. They have run their race and been counted worthy to escape.
May the Lord comfort your hearts and wrap you in his loving arms. You’re in my prayers. Love you all.
