William "Tom" Carlon, 89, of North Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Carlon was born Monday, August 1, 1932 to the late Fred Carlon and Addie Payne Carlon in Hattieville, Arkansas.
Tom was a member of Windsong Church of Christ in North Little Rock, Arkansas for many years. He worked for Teletype Corporation as a tool and dye caster for over thirty-seven years. Mr. Carlon enjoyed wood carving, hunting, fishing, traveling, and was an avid Razorback fan. Over the years he traveled forty-nine of the fifty states including parts of Canada.
Left to cherish his memory are, his loving wife of sixty-five years, Joyce Carlon; one son, Paul Carlon (Lisa) of Benton, Arkansas; two daughters, Diane Hinson (David) of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Paula Copeland (Timothy) of Greenbrier, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Makenzie Carlon, Caleb Carlon, Lee Hinson, Joy Atchison, Taylor Hinson, Aaron Copeland, Aubrey Copeland, Kayla Strickland; six great-grandchildren, Brooke, Ty, Nolan, Ainsley, Emerson, Liam; two sisters, Lois Torbert (Toby) of Hattieville, Arkansas, Geraldine Hartman (Bill) of Wonderview, Arkansas and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mr. Carlon was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Barbara Adams, Nell Belle, Mary Carlon, Shirley Williams.
Funeral Services for Mr. Carlon will be 11AM Monday, January 17, 2022 at the Windsong Church of Christ in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Visitation will be one hour prior. Interment will follow at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle, Arkansas. Brother Nick Hamilton will officiate.
Joyce I am so sorry to learn of this. I would have tried to attend if I had found out in time. May God give comfort to you and the family.

So sorry for your loss. David and Diane helped me so much last September when I lost my husband.

I was so sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. I remember him as a very kind man. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. I pray God’s blessings on each of you and that his peace and love will be felt in the coming days.

I first met “Pawpaw†when I was visiting Aaron in Arkansas. I was in awe of his fabulous carving skills! He was a very sweet guy. I am happy that I was able to celebrate the holidays with him and his family in 2021. May his memory be a blessing. May his wife, children, and family have peace from God.
