Jeremy William Bledsoe

of West Memphis, AR

November 19, 1972 - January 5, 2022

Jeremy William Bledsoe, 49, died Wednesday January 5, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Southaven after a long battle with cancer.

Jeremy was born to Jere and Donna Bledsoe on November 19, 1972, in West Memphis, Arkansas. He attended West Memphis public schools, graduating with honors with the class of 1991, after which he attended both Mississippi State University and the University of Memphis.

Jeremy was a computer geek long before that term was invented. His family often accused him of cutting his teeth on a Commodore 64 computer. That never changed as he got older and more experienced in the cyber world. Every job he ever had included the use of, maintenance of, the operation of, some sort of what was once referred to as an "electronic brain." His final position was that of Infrastructure Architect at Mueller Industries.

In his younger days Jeremy was an invaluable part of community theatre productions in West Memphis. Acting was for others; he preferred the technical side of getting a show on the stage. He was a baseball fan, and preferred the St. Louis Cardinals, although he lived in the DC area when the Nationals came to town, and they became his second team. He loved reading. He enjoyed politics. He delighted in a lively discussion. He has been called, in recent days, by a number of friends, a great tee ball coach, "always smarter than the rest of us," "always had such a sense of humor," "remarkable," "could fix anything."

Jeremy's was a life well lived. He was devoted to his wife, Christy, and his son, Alex. He was a beloved husband, dad, brother, son, and friend. He leaves, to cherish the memories they made together, Christy and Alex, his sisters Susanna Bledsoe Barnes and Rebecca Bledsoe (Joel Johnson) of West Memphis, his mom and stepfather Donna and Steve Stall of Amory, Mississippi and his mother- and father-in-law Candy and Mike Manning of Monroe, Louisiana. He also leaves two stepbrothers, Dr. Luke Stall (Terri) of Mars, Pennsylvania and Carl Stall (Anna) of Portland, Oregon, along with many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jere Bledsoe.

Visitation and Service will both be held at the Victory Church in Marion on Sunday, January 9, 2022 beginning with visitation at 2:00 PM and service at 3:00 PM. Burial will take place at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion as well.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Boys and Girls Club, 990 North Missouri, West Memphis, Arkansas 72301.

''Death is not an ending, but a symbol of movement along the path upon which we are all traveling. As it may be painful to lose contact with the physical aspect of one we love, the Spirit can never be lost. We have been and always will be a part of each other.''
John Denver
