LaVonne Jobe Hinkley, 85, of Batesville passed away January 7, 2022.

She was born July 29, 1936 in Eldred, Minnesota to Henry and Irene (Wachter) Jobe.

LaVonne was a loving and caring person with a gentle soul who was a caregiver to all. She graduated from high school two years early. She had a unique sense of humor and loved to tend to her flower garden and bake all types of sweets.

Survivors include one son, James Hinkley of Ellendale, North Dakota; one daughter, Jill Hinkley of Batesville, Arkansas; one sister, Joyce Zahler of Westby, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Nichole Conner (Matthew), and Shelby O'Keefe (Devin); five great-grandchildren, Christian Edwards, Haley Altom, Samuel Conner, Alivia Conner and Roman Conner, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Newman Hinkley; one daughter, Patti Hinkley; two brothers, and two sisters.

Burial will be held in Eldred, Minnesota at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 320 Executive Ct Ste 302, Little Rock, AR 72205 or to Arkansas Children's Hospital 1 Children's Way, Little Rock, AR 72202.

Our deepest condolences, I remember your mom talking about your grandmother, I’m glad you had some time with her before her end. She sounded like a lovely lady. Try to remember the good times and know that she is with the Lord now and not in pain anymore.
