Hazel L. Andrews, 95, of Brookland, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born May 30, 1926 in Lake City to Ellis Ray and Bessie Elizabeth (Thorn) Agee. Hazel worked for General Electric for 32 years until retiring and was a member of Brookland United Methodist Church. She loved gardening and camping, but most of all, her family.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Dossie M. Andrews; two brothers and one sister; a grandson, Kevin Jumper; a great-grandson, Caleb Aaron Deaton; twin great-granddaughters, Adalyn Elizabeth Cole and Olivia Paige Cole.
Those left behind to cherish the wonderful memories of Hazel include two sons, Jim (Carolyn) Andrews and Danny Andrews; two daughters, Patsy Price and Glenda (Bob) Dobson; grandchildren, Randy Tidwell, Lisa Crawford, Jimmy Andrews, Jr., Pamela Andrews, Jennifer Carroll, Darin Jumper, Courtney Deaton, Garrett Andrews, Kristy Lenoir and Todd Dobson; 17 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; nephews, Charlie Agee and Jimmy Ray Kimbrell.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro with Rick Hathcoat officiating. Burial will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery.
Jimmy Andrews, Darin Jumper, Garrett Andrews, Luke Andrews, Tyler Cooper, and Tanner Cooper will serve as pallbearers. Kevin Jumper (deceased grandson), Randy Tidwell, Charlie Agee, Jimmy Ray Kimbrell, Drake Jumper and Jerry Isom will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will begin at 12 pm until time of service.
When I was young Doss and Mrs. Andrews were dear friends of my parents and I stayed I touch with them through the years until I left the area in the 1990s. She was always so sweet and kind to me and always happy to see me when we would visit. So sorry for your loss she will be greatly missed! Prayers for all of you.

Gen and Family, I am saddened to learn of your loss. Hazel was such a wonderful lady and played a huge part in my life. I always admired her strength and devotion to her family. I have lots of unforgettable memories of her and all of you that will be forever in my heart. You all are in my prayers. May God give you HIS peace. Heaven has another Angel.

Hazel was a very good woman, wife, mom,
and neighbor. My heart breaks for each of you especially you Danny. We used to play together along. Hazel was a fantastic friend to my late mama. There's no words to say except she's now free and has no pain. God bless you each and he'll give you the strength to carry on. I am sorry I can't attend. I know it'll be a beautiful funeral. Love and prayers for all.
Hazel you will be greatly missed I will always cherish the memories of you with the family the Best times were the great and fun times spent at Ma AND Pa s give evergone a big hug in Heaven for me!!!

Next to Ma and Pa's, Dossie and Hazel's was always the place to gather and visit and have fun. Always felt at home at their house. Some great memories were made thanks to their love and hospitality. Going to miss her hugs and great sense of humor.
Not to mention how feisty she was. Keeping y'all in my thoughts and prayers.
Gen, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family at this time. Hazel was an awesome #2 Mother to me. I know she's having a blast being in Heaven with Dossie, Kevin, Mama and George.
Hazel was one of a kind, I loved visiting with her. She was kind, feisty, funny and told some great stories. I will miss her and our church has lost a wonderful member. Rest in peace Ms. Hazel, I will miss you my friend!!!
