Charles Dewain Reagan (Whitehorn), 84 of Springfield, MO passed away Monday January 03, 2022. He was born on July 26, 1937 in Piggott, AR. He was raised by his maternal grandparents, O.H. Reagan and Mollie Reagan.
Charles spent his childhood and formative years in Arkansas before marrying the love of his life, Beverly A. Reagan (Rodery). Charles enlisted into the US Army and served his country with pride, as a Mess Hall Cook and Club Manager. His enlistment took Charles and his family on adventures to many places such as Germany, South Korea and stateside locations like Massachusetts. His service called upon him to leave his family to serve in Vietnam. Upon retirement Charles and Beverly settled back home in Arkansas.
In the 1990's Charles and Beverly opened a restaurant, allowing Charles to share his love of cooking with many patrons and impart cooking techniques with his grandchildren that worked in the restaurant. Food was always central to any family gathering.
Charles is preceded in death by: his wife, Beverly A. Reagan, his mother, Agnes Lorene Rowe and father, Raymond Bell Whitehorn. Charles is survived by; sons Larry K. (Leslie), Charles D. Jr (Beverly), Alan M. (Jana); his daughter Beth R. (Shannon); 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 08, 2022 at 10am, with Funeral Services following at the Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in Searcy, Arkansas. Interment will be at White County Memorial Garden.

I was able to meet Charles thru my dad Ted McDowell. We visited Charles and Beverly every year in April. Stories were told and much food was consumed on every visit. It was a great time and looked forward to every year. I am proud to call him family. My prayers go out to the many family member left behind to grieve his loss.
