of Mayflower, AR
March 19, 1932 - January 1, 2022
Geneva L. York was born on March 19, 1932. She passed on January 1, 2022 surrounded by her loving family in her Mayflower home.
Geneva was married to her adoring husband, Joe D. York for 68 years. Geneva loved her family more than anything. She was extremely independent, a little stubborn, and the hardest working woman you have ever met.
Geneva had a true love for LIFE. She always lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and spending time with all of her family. She adored and truly missed her late son, Donald Riggins.
Geneva is survived by her wonderful husband, Joe D. York, Grand-daughter, Lisa Turpin (Jonathan Turpin), Great grandsons, Josh Fugatt and Ethan Turpin, Sister Carolyn Casey (James Casey), Niece Jamie Casey Green (Larry Green), Nephew Kendall Casey (Angela Casey)(Landon, Layton, and Lawson Casey).
Her grandchildren were the jewels in her crown. Josh was the light in her eye and Ethan was her shining star.
Geneva was proceeded in death by her son, Donald Riggins. Her mother and father, Leta and Floyd Harris and her sister Brenda Williams. Niece Debbie Murphy and Nephew Craig Williams.
There will be a visitation Thursday, January 6th at 1pm with the funeral to follow at Roller McNutt Funeral Home on Thursday, January 6th at 2pm. Services will be officiated by Bro. Dwayne Dycus of Mayflower First United Pentecostal Church. Graveside services will immediately follow at Mayflower Cemetery.
