of North Little Rock, AR
December 7, 1971 - December 22, 2021
George William Kelly III was an adventurer, a traveler, and a seeker of experiences and knowledge. More importantly to George, though, he was a father, and on December 22, 2021, he passed away in his home at the age of 50.
George was born on December 7, 1971, to John and Susan Kelly. George spent much of his youth living the life of a Navy brat and developed a great curiosity for travel and other cultures. He graduated from PORTA in 1991, Wyoming Technical Institute in 1992, New Testament Christian Church Seminary in 2001, Arkansas State University-Newport in 2008, and served in the Army as a Motor Vehicle Operator from 1995 - 2001. George preferred to sample life in smaller, more potent doses than the army. He spent time working as a mechanic, a minister, and finally an over-the-road truck driver.
Although most of his life was spent restlessly moving from one place to another, stability came in the form of his three sons, Jake, Blake, and David Kelly, whom he shared with former spouse, Ashley Nunn Hicks-Kelly. Watching his sons grow and assisting each with grade school and outdoor recreation gave him a pride that he wanted to share with the whole community. He remained happily settled in North Little Rock, Arkansas over the last two years.
George is survived by his sons, Jake, Blake, and David Kelly; his brother, John Kelly II (wife, Rochelle Kelly); and his former wife, Ashley Nunn Hicks-Kelly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Kelly, and his father, John Kelly.
A graveside service will be held at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at North Little Rock on January 5, 2022, at 1 PM. All are welcome. Donations and flowers can be sent to 112 Samantha Dr. Brookland, AR 72417. A celebration of life service is scheduled for January 8, 2022, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 111 N. 7th St., Petersburg, IL 62675.

We are so very sorry for your loss. Prayers for all if you! â¤
George, although your years were cut short by health issues, your life carries on because of the impact you’ve made on others. Memories flash through my mind while I try to find the words to say how much you meant to me. So I will just say this: To my big brother, I love you and I will carry on being the little brother you are proud of.
So sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful guy. Sending prayers to you and all the family.
George will dearly be missed! We are saddened with this tragedy that has occurred. Prayers going up for the entire family at this time!
Love you all very sorry for your loss.
George today was so very hard. Ashley and I went and picked out your casket. It is such a struggle to wrap our hearts around the fact you are gone. We are so thankful for the 3 amazing grandsons you and Ashley gave us. We’ve spent the last few days sharing many memories with them. We’ve laughed and we’ve cried. The one thing I know is you truly loved them. You had the faith of a giant and overcame so much in your short lifetime. I know it was a wonderful moment for you when you joined your mom and dad at Jesus’ feet. Please help us all you can to look out for Jake, Blake, and David. We will do our best to always remind them of how much Daddy loved them. We love you George. ♥ï¸â™¥ï¸â™¥ï¸
