Steven Bruce Price

of Conway, AR

August 8, 1958 - December 21, 2021

Steven Bruce Price, 63, a lifelong resident of Conway, Arkansas, died unexpectedly in his home on December 21, 2021. He was the husband of the late Heather Rand Price.

Steve was born on August 8, 1958 to the late Wendell and Lillian Price. He is survived by his siblings, Wendell Price (Lee), Ronnie Price (Angie), Brenda Price Mahan (Tim), and Valerie Price Rettig (Steve); his children, Steven Price, Will Price (Jenny), Canon Price Cassulis, and Ashleigh Hendrix Story (Tyler); nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Steve was known by his closest friends as ''Lambchops,'' and was loved by many. He was a talented drummer and often played gigs with his rock-n-roll buddies. He was a surprisingly good athlete and could play just about any sport. He was also a die-hard Razorback fan who loved calling the Hogs. In the last years of his life, he frequently attended City Church, where he served as a door greeter and was very involved in his small group. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 28, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, AR. Steve's lifelong friend, Mark Cavender, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Renewal Ranch at www.therenewalranch.org OR In His Wings Ministry at www.inhiswingsministry.com.

It's been some time since Lambchops passing & I regret the flu kept me from paying my respects. Chops was a small part in my world, mostly because he was my baby brother's best friend. After Fred's passing he stepped in & gave me the shoulder I very much needed. Easy to talk to, we soon discovered our mutual loves & likes. He was a simple man, enjoying the simple things. A helper to his neighbors. The husband to Heather that all ladies would appreciate. Will, Steve, Ashleigh & Canon your Dad will forever be held in the highest esteem by Fred's siblings. Our brother had a hard life but Chops was his constant stabling friend, in the simple ways that counted most. Wendell, Ronnie, Valerie, & Brenda there will those days & seasons as you know. Be proud y'all we're instrumental in Steve becoming the devoted young man he was. I'll always see him as young, just as I do my brother.

And to all of you my prayers will continue that our Father wraps each of you in His arms, so strong that you are aware of his presence & love. My deepest sympathies.

I really didn't get to see my cousin very much. We did live in the same trailer park for awhile in Conway, Arkansas. He was always kind and funny. We both loved the Razorbacks /Hogs. He is now in Heather's arms. As my 4 year old granddaughter said, "We should be happy, not cry, because now, God will take care of him. And we all will see him again someday." Prayers to family and friends. RIP Steve.j

Steve was a lifelong friend. We would go to Hendrix College on Friday afternoons when the Hogs played in Little Rock to watch them workout. Got lots of autographs! Steve once put a fish hook in my eye while fishing at our pond. He will be missed.

Steve was a dear soul, much loved by all.
The world will be much sadder without him. But our memories of Chops, will bring a smile to our face at every Hog game, Foosball game or RocknBlues show.
He never got “back to square” after his dear Heather passed. Not that you could expect him to. Digging deep- I find strength in three things from this loss.
1st-it will bring his friends and family closer together-leaning and loving more on each other.
2nd-Chops is back with his lovely Heather.
3rd-The ensemble is complete: Fred, Kevin, Doyle and now Steve.
If we behave, we may hear them again.

We will always remember you brother.

Oh, what fond memories I have of Steve. Although it has been years since I actually visited with him, my memories will last forever. Poker, playing the Gizzard Roast and at Ton's, Halloween parties (where he never disappointed) - just a few of the great times I shared with him. My most sincere condolences to his family during this difficult time. I know that his family meant more to him than anything, and that he and Heather are in each other's arms. May his memory always be a blessing.

I remember growing up in the trailer park with Steve and the kids. My daddy and Steve worked at Polyvend. Steve was always nice to us and we were welcomed into his home anytime, we didn’t even have to knock on the door… Praying for this family! R.I.P. my friend
