Robert Sowell, 73, went home to rejoice on December 22, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. He was born to the late Fletcher and Syble (Huggins) Sowell in Shirley, Arkansas on August 4, 1948.. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Ernie Sowell, Brenda Sowell, and Winston Sowell.
Robert was an avid fisherman, loved being in the outdoors, loved his kids and grandkids wholeheartedly. He loved playing jokes on family members. He retired from ConAgra. You could always find Robert on a river bank or in a boat. He enjoyed Monday and Friday night fishing tournaments. A few things you'd hear from him often went a little this: ''I Smell a Skunk'' ''I wish the dang wind would blow.'' ''PawPaw will you fix my bait?''
Left to cherish Robert's memory are his children; Terry Sowell and wife Sharlene, Christopher D. Sowell and wife Amanda, grandchildren; Danielle Sheppard and husband Josh, Terry Thomas Sowell, Charleston Sowell and fiancé' Savannah Lynch, Kadance Sowell, Annabelle Sowell, great-grandson, Barrett Sheppard, one brother, Gerald Sowell a host of nieces and nephews, also his ex-wife and best friend Debby Kerrigan.
Interment will be on Friday December 24, 2021 at 2:00pm at Weaver Cemetery in Shirley, Arkansas. Pall bearers are; Kelvin Bradley, Kadance Sowell, Charleston Sowell, Jeremy McKinney, James Slack and Michael Sowell. Honorary pallbearers are Gerald Sowell and Terry Thomas Sowell.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations may be made to help with final expenses at the Fund a Family link or at Roller - McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas.
