Kimberly Renee Brewer-Blocker

of Etowah, AR

December 12, 1984 - December 16, 2021

Kimberly Renee Brewer Blocker, 37, left her earthly existence behind and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on December 16th, 2021. Kim was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on December 12th, 1984, to Larry Wayne Brewer and Nancy Mae Kirk Brewer. Kim, or Punkin as her family affectionately called her, was a true friend and blessing to anyone that knew her.

Throughout her life, Kim was a Christian and of the Pentecostal Faith. Kim graduated from Manila High School in 2003, earned two associate degrees from Arkansas Northeastern College, and worked for many years as an office worker at American Greetings in Osceola.

Some of Kim's favorite hobbies included playing video games, reading, writing, playing with her cats, and collecting Superman memorabilia. In fact, one of her most cherished activities was attending the annual Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Illinois with her brother-in-law Jimmy Reese. Kim was truly an avid fan of Superman and DC Comics!

But more than anything, Kim was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, and mother to her son Alex. She so loved and treasured her son Alex and was so looking forward to being a mother to her newborn baby daughter Abigail.

Kimberly is survived by her parents, Larry Wayne Brewer and Nancy Mae Brewer, her brother Daniel Wayne Brewer, sister Carrie Mae (Jimmy) Reese, son Alexander James Blocker, daughter Abigail Nancy Renee Stem, nieces Caitlin and Emma Reese, fiancé Chase Stem, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. I am so sorry to hear of Kim’s passing. I’ve known Kim since we were both in high school. We shared many memories throughout the years. Having lost my own mom at a young age, I know that Alex and Abigail have an angel watching over them now.

If you knew Kim and me in high school you’d know that we were always together. She’s been one of the most intelligent open minded loving friends any person could ask for. She and I had an instant connection and even when it came to dances or the prom she was always my first priority to ensure she had a date and a good time(sorry Andrea I love you too). Our small group was so diverse and loving and part of that was Kim. I know I didn’t have the patience she did for some people. She loved everyone and I can’t say I’ve heard her say much of anything negative about anyone. I am still shocked and don’t know what else to say except I love you Kim and pray your kids will know what a wonderful person you are. I’m sorry this shouldn’t happen right after the birth of your child but I promise to reach out to them to let them know how loving you are!
