I am just learning of Larry's passing and am deeply sad. Today i searched for his number to reconnect after not seeing him in such a long time. Larry was always there for me as an encouraging friend when i lived in Morrilton.

I learned today of Larry's passing and am saddened that this bright, talented friend is gone. My condolences to his daughters and family.

Larry had been a member of the River Valley Writer's Group for the last decade with me and I've enjoyed everything he's written. Last year I converted his book MIA Gold into Kindle format for him, and he was so excited when the first one sold. His last visit to the writer's group, he told me he would not be back because he just could not hear the other members reading.

I will miss him as will his fellow writers.

I am so sorry for your loss. Larry and I both graduated from Lamar but different years. I think it is great that you used the picture of him at the pavilion overlooking the Arkansas River. Larry was a good and generous man. He let my class use his beautiful pavilion for some of our class reunions. We would meet there each year for the key exchange and he would show me the improvements he had made and we would just talk about so many different things. I will miss those conversations.

So sorry for the loss of my dear friend, Larry. Sending prayers of comfort to all the Tilley family. This family was so close to us with their home across the street from my Dad and Dean’s store. I will always remember when I was little, Harry and Larry lighting our firecrackers and Roman Candles for the Fourth of July in their yard. Dad wouldn’t let us light them. The Tilley boys gave all the Lamar kids a big firework display!
