Francis Bernice Wells, 92, of Vilonia, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 8, 2021. She was born October 21, 1929 in Vilonia to the late Robert Lee and Fannie Mae Mills. Francis was also preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Carl Wells and brothers, Clarence, Burtis, and Thurman Mills.
Francis is survived by her son, Carey William Wells (Kim), daughters, Beverly Wells Riley (David) and Connie Wells, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Francis was a longtime member of Mars Hill Church of Christ. She worked in manufacturing and later was employed at the Conway Human Development Center. Francis enjoyed gardening and farming, but most of all she loved hugging on her grandkids and great-grandkids. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the caregivers and Kindred Hospice for their compassionate care.
Visitation will be at 1pm, Monday, December 13, 2021 at Mars Hill Church of Christ with funeral service following at 2pm. David Riley will be officiating. Burial will be at Vilonia Cemetery.

I am so sorry for your loss! I had the great privilege of working with Ms. Berniece at CHDC for several years & never met a kinder more gentle soul than she! I loved her ability to laugh at everything! She was always such a hard worker there as well as at home. She definitely left a lifelong impression on me as to how people should treat others! Thank you sweet lady for your kind heart-you were an angel on earth❤️

I always loved her because she was so sweet and kind to me. She always tried to say hi to me and made me feel like she genuinely cared about me, and my mom would tell me she asked about me when I wasn't there. What a beautiful lady with a beautiful family who made this world a better place because she was here.

My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to the family and to everyone that loved Mrs. Wells as much as I do. I was one of her caregivers for the past 7 months and had the great pleasure of getting to know not only Mrs. Wells but her beautiful family. Mrs. Wells would always ask about my son and daughter in the nights I would stay with her. She was a ray of sunshine. I will remember her until we meet again. She will be forever loved and missed.
