Gerald ''Jerry'' Seifert, 63, of Scranton, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at his home with his loved ones by his side.
He was born February 20, 1958 in Paris, Arkansas to his parents, Eugene Seifert and Stella (Anhalt) Seifert. Gerald worked as a reefer mechanic for Marten Trucking for over twenty years and served on the City Council for Scranton. Gerald was a hard worker, you could always find him working on something, whether it was around the house or in the garden. He was also a family man who spent time with his grandkids or just being outside in the woods.
He is preceded in death by parents mentioned above and one sister, Susan Seifert.
He is survived by his wife of seventeen years, Linda (Walker) Seifert of the home; five sons, Jeremy Seifert and wife, Danielle of Hennessey, Oklahoma Dennis D. West of Charleston, Arkansas, Justin West and girlfriend, Dana of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Trinity West and Aaron West of Scranton, Arkansas; one brother, Harold Seifert and wife, Debbie of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sisters, Rita Ferguson and husband, Mike of Greenwood, Arkansas, Donna Mauer and husband, Frank of Paris, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Dominique Seifert, D'Shawn Seifert, Demetrius Seifert, Kaylee West, Ethan West, Aiden West, Evan West and Addy West; his loving grand puppy, Turd Ferguson West and great grand puppy, Magpie; other family members and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2021 at Roller Funeral Home in Paris followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Fr. John Miranda. Burial of the cremains will take place at a later date. After the service a meal will be prepared for family and friends at St. Joseph's Parish hall at 3:30 p.m.
Cremation arrangements and services are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

So saddened to hear of Jerry’s passing I’ve known Jerry for seems like all my life . We had a lot of good times together. He was a good friend and will be missed greatly by all that knew him . My thoughts and prayers go out to his family . Rest In piece my old friend.
