Jose Martin Nieves
April 27, 1970-November 26, 2021

Jose Martin Nieves, 51, from North Little Rock, AR, died on November 26, 2021.

Jose was born April 27, 1970, in Chicago, IL. Jose had many different occupations throughout his life, but his absolute favorite job was helping troubled youths in the Little Rock area. The children looked up to him, trusted in him, and loved him. Not only did Jose treat the kids like members of his own family, but he also gave them a role model as well as a friend many years after they left the youth program. Jose's love and dedication to the kids helped many of them graduate high school and some even graduated college.

Jose will be remembered through his love for cars, old school music, making friends easily and his infectious laugh.

Jose is survived by his three children, Alicia Keesee, Martin Nieves and Jeremiah Nieves; his five siblings Beatriz Colon, Selina Hernandez, Rafael Nieves, Adelina Nieves, and Armando Nieves; his parents Jose and Isabel Nieves; and his five grandchildren Samuel Keesee, Vincent Keesee, Joseph Keesee, Bianca Nieves and Antonio Nieves.

We would like to celebrate Jose's life with a viewing Wednesday December 1, 2021, at 5509 JFK Blvd in North Little Rock, AR, between 6:00pm-8:00pm.

Martin,
We've known each other for so many years. We've watched our kids grow into the wonderful, responsible adults that they are today. You've witnessed ups and downs. You took me to the hospital when I was in labor with Jasmine and stayed there with me. It was funny that the nurse invited you in the room thinking you were the father until you said. "Noooo. I'm not the father. I just gave her a ride." LOL. I will never forget that.
I will never forget how kind you always were to me and my kids.
I will never forget your dance moves.
I will never forget your laugh.
I will never forget you.
You are no longer suffering and are in God's hands and house. Meeting with those you've lost.
Rest in peace Martin.
