Dear Mike and Family,
I am so sorry to learn of the recent passing of our beloved Martha Sue. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers as you travel this journey of grief and loss of someone you loved so dearly. Everyone loved Martha Sue as is evident from the many memorials written in honor of her life. She was a friend to everyone going all the way back to elementary school for many of us. When I moved away from Batesville, often my dad would call me when he had been by the bank and say, "Martha Sue asked about you today", and then give me a quick update on the BHS Class of 1969. I loved it and so did dad. Martha Sue was right there alongside John Vinson in helping keep our class together all these years. We all are grateful. Thanks Martha Sue for being a friend to all of us. Oh, Mike, we are so very shocked and sad by Martha Sue's sudden passing. She made me laugh through many years, and shared her hopes and sadnesses from time to time.
