Charles "Mike" Turner, age 75, of Harrison, passed away at his home on Friday, November 25, 2021, after a long struggle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was born January 19, 1946, in Beebe Arkansas, the son of Charles and Bernice (Belew) Turner, who preceded him in death. Mike spent most of his life on the family farm in Texarkana Arkansas and moved to Harrison in 2002.
Mike leaves behind his wife, Patricia Virnig Turner; his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jared Short and three grandchildren, Cameron Short, Ashley Short, and Sydney Short; his daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Patrick Walls and granddaughter, Shelby Walls; his son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Michelle Turner and grandchildren Legend and Legacy; and his sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Bob Tucker and niece Robin.
Mike loved to prepare meals for family and friends. He had a special bond with animals and loved his cattle, horses and dogs. Above all, Mike loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mike was an incredible marksman and was an expert gunsmith with an encyclopedic knowledge of guns. Mike farmed most of his life. He enjoyed raising cattle and being outside in nature.
Visitation with the family was at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home on Thursday, December 2, 2021.
Memorial service followed with Johnny Huddleston officiating.
