March 14, 1942 - November 25, 2021

Charles L. Lang, III, age 79 of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at his home. Following Chuck's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

Chuck was born in Joliet, Illinois, the son of Charles & Mary (Sweeney) Lang. He graduated from Joliet Catholic High School, attended Joliet Junior College and Lewis University. Chuck was employed with Joliet Police Department, Joliet Liquor Commission, Cardinal Transport, and briefly at FFB Marina. He was elected to the Fairfield Bay Community Club Board and served as president.

Chuck was a golfer and loved playing with the men's nine hole group. He was a Library volunteer, also serving on the Library Board. He enjoyed playing cards, working crossword puzzles, and watching English mysteries.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Christine, son, Charles Lang (Shelly), three daughters; Stacey (Carl) Newberry, Lori (Tony) Avery, and Kelly Paulson. One step son, James J. Cleppe (Cheri Tester), eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Many friends, but especially Tim Hallett.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James (Elaine), and Terry (Anna), two brothers-in-law, Lee Melody and Harry Isenhour, and one sister-in-law, Nancy Juist-Isenhour.

A celebration of life service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the VFW Post 4513 in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas

I am so sorry to hear this about Chuck. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the whole family. One of my favorite board members and a great friend. He was a good man. I know he will be missed. So long my friend!

Chris, I am so sorry for your loss. Chuck was a great guy and somewhat of a living miracle. You both have been precious to me. He will be sorely missed. I won't ever go to the library that I don't think of the two of you.
