James Allen Dodson, 79, of Cave City, Arkansas passed away on November 26, 2021 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. James Allen was born on December 27, 1941 in Mountain View, Arkansas to the late Alton and Joyce (Risner) Dodson. James Allen was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as a lineman at Entergy before retiring after 31 years of dedicated service. James Allen enjoyed hanging out with his Krispy House Crew and will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

James Allen is survived by one son, Scott Dodson (Peggy) of Evening Shade, Arkansas; one daughter Andrea Compton (Tony) of Cave City, Arkansas; one sister, Anita Nichols of Mountain View, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Trevor Motes, Joseph Allen Dodson, and James Aiden Compton, as well as many extended family and friends.

James Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Joyce (Risner) Dodson; one sister, baby girl Dodson; and three brothers, J.R. Dodson, Oliver Dodson, and David Dodson.

Visitation for James Allen will be Friday, December 3, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services are Saturday, December 4, 2021, 11:00 AM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas with Brother Junior Barham officiating. Interment will follow the service at Levisy Flat Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Michael Dodson, Lynn Dodson, Jerred Dodson, Trevor Motes, Colton Ross, and Clayton Ross.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

James Allen was good friend to all of my family over the years. I remember when we moved into our new house when I was six, he hung my swing in the tree in the yard. He will definitely be missed by all who knew him. Rest In Peace my friend.

I remember the last time I saw James Allen, we were at the Crispy House enjoy great conversation and great food. I loved it when he snuck off to Mountain View and I could visit with him. I shall miss him. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a great guy and a great cousin. Farewell cuz.
