Sorry to hear of the loss of Alice. She was a great lady and will be missed.
I did not know Mrs. Beatty, but her obituary gave me such a sense of pride in a woman who at an early age served our country. She appeared to be such a courageous person who gave so much to our country during such a difficult period in our history. As I said, I did not know her, but sense that she had to have lived a life WELL. I imagine she saw a lot of sadness as she served and worked but she must have lived life to the fullest and I hope her family is so proud of here. I know I am..
I worked with Alice in the early 1960s at Civil Defense and enjoyed getting to know her.
She gave me some good advice and helped me when I needed it. She was a joy. So sorry to hear of your loss.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
