January 12, 1973 - November 20, 2021

Richie Glenn Bond, age 48, of Mt. Sherman, Arkansas, passed away at home Saturday, November 20, 2021. He was born January 12, 1973, in Harrison, the son of James and Dolores (Carmack) Stacey. He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Johnny and Dossie Carmack, George and Glaydis Bond, and Devoe and Louise Stacey; his uncles, Brad Stacey and Danny Stacey; and his niece, Ava James Stacey.

Richie was a lifelong resident of Mt. Sherman. He was a member of Mt. Sherman Assembly of God Church and he seldom missed a service. He liked riding his bike up and down the road gathering cans to sell. He went to every Jasper Basketball home game, festivals, and visited all the local zoos. Each year Richie looked forward to opening the curtain for the church Christmas play. He was in the Special Olympics and won several medals and a bowling trophy.

Richie is survived by his mother, Dolores Stacey; his two brothers, Monty Bond of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Michael Stacey of Jasper; his two sisters and brother-in-law, Robbin and Roger Wofford of Harrison and Stephanie Bond of Springfield, Missouri; his nephews, Christopher Crabtree and Justin Crabtree; and his nieces, Amber Barfield, David Barfield, Tiffany Bond, Barbara Bond, and Desire Bond.

He is also survived by his uncle, Charles Carmack; his aunts and uncles, Sandy and Rick Dodson and Gwen and John Goble; and a host of friends.


Visitation was Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Funeral service was Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Mt. Sherman Assembly of God Church, with Raymond White officiating.

Interment was in Mt. Sherman Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Chris Blakney, Chris Crabtree, Dwayne Barnard, Ray Salazar, Allen Floyd, and Quentin Rylee.

Honorary pallbearers were Michael Stacey, Freddie Fennell, and Justin Crabtree.

Myself and our family are truly saddened by Richie’s passing. Our hearts go out to you all in this time of loss. He was a special person who always was kind and eager to greet one. Always wanting to share whatever was on his mind or recollection of past times, always a smile. Richie will be fondly remembered, and greatly missed by all that knew him.

Richie will be truly missed at Mt. Sherman AG. He was there anytime the doors were open. Our Christmas plays won't be the same without him. Sorry for your loss.
