Just found out today that George had passed. Very sad to hear this news. I saw George 3-4 times each week in the springtime for many years while working as a vendor for Walmarts garden center. I will miss him and his jokes and fishing stories. He was a good man who was loved by many and will be missed by many.

I didn't know Mr George had passed. Whenever I entered Walmart he had a smile on his face and always had a joke for me. We talked about the Lord each time we met. He was an inspiration to my family, and I. I didn't know he was a pastor, until one day we were talking about how blessed we were. We were so glad to have him in our life. R.I.P. Mr George. You will truly be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear of George's passing but glad for his entrance into eternity with God. Always friendly and willing to share of himself. He worked with my dad for years and never heard a bad comment from him

My visits to Wal Mart Conway will not be the same after reading the passing of my friend and greeter Mr. George!
I looked for him every time I would go in, we always had a joke, a story and a laugh together!
No matter what was going on outside with this world when I would get in the door to Mr. George it all seemed to not matter as bad!
Heaven truly got the "best greeter and Godly man" the day he passed through those gates!
Rest on that green green grass of Heaven, fish those clear waters and sing with the Choir of God Mr George!
I will meet you again one day when I pass through those gates instead of doors of Wal Mart!
God bless your family and friends,
Hal Garrett, Jr. 🌲

Loved being around George at Walmart store #5. He always made your day in some sort of fashion. He always asked me how was I doing when we would first see each other in the store. He helped as much as he could in the store. His jokes were good enough to get a laugh out of. I enjoyed mr George during my short period of knowing him.
See ya soon mr.George
