Edward Lee Jones, 74, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away November 13, 2021.
He was born September 10, 1947 in Caraway, Arkansas to Lee Bell and Helen (Branscum) Jones.
Edward loved dogs, playing cards, and tinkering with woodwork. He also enjoyed driving his truck, listening to music, and working with AC Bell.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Janie Belle (Gillmore) Jones of the home; two sons, Andy Jones (Tiffany) and Randy Jones (Debbie), all of Batesville; one brother, Donald Jones of Locust Grove; one sister, Shirley Matheny (Richard) of Batesville; four grandchildren, Kelsey Wilkerson (Shannon Ellis), Jacob Jones, Elizabeth Jones, and Noah Jones, as well as a special friend, AC Bell, and his dog, Benji.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Christopher Jones; and one daughter, Amanda Jones.
Pallbearers are Perry Meeker, Justin Meeker, Pete Gillmore, R.J. Gillmore, Jr., Blake Finnie, David Branscum, James Wiltrout, and Cleetes Gillmore.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home at 2:00pm with Paul Moody officiating. Burial will follow at Egner Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
My heart goes out to Kelsey, Nana, and their family. I’ve experienced grief and my heart hurts for anyone experiencing it, but I learned that missing them is not as hard as seeing them suffer. Praying for y’all and your family.
