My prayers are with the Ahne family during this sad time. Jim was such a good man that served the Scranton Community in so many ways. From his service in the Navy during the Vietnam war to his long days operating his service center, Jim was a hard worker that served his community well in everything he did. At Johnnie Blamey's funeral in June, Jim and I had the opportunity to talk and catch up with what had gone on in our lives the past couple of decades. Jim, thanks for a job well done and you will be missed my friend.

As a former pastor at Scranton Baptist Church one of the first men I met was Jim at his station. I remember him saying your that new preacher at the Baptist Church if I can ever help you out just let me know. The next three years we would visit off and on. After leaving Scranton I always made it a point to stop by and say hello and after 35 years he always knew who I was. Jim was a good and Godly man so sorry for your loss. I will always remember Jim and his love for his family, church and community. May he Rest In Peace. Jan and Sandra Akins

Jim was an invaluable asset to the community, and a sturdy friend to all. If you needed guidance or assistance in any local matters, Jim was always there to help. He was one of the first people who made us feel genuinely welcome when we moved from out of state to the North Logan County area 25 years ago, and we will never forget his kindness. It was a delight to know and associate with him through the years. The Scranton community is much poorer today for his passing.

Jim an icon of the Scranton Community. There was not a more dedicated man to his customers and community than Jim. I would always tell Jim why don't you take off today when he was sick or just needed a vacation and his answer was always the same. Why who would be here in case someone had a flat or needed something. He was always willing to help anyone who stopped in and was down on their luck. That's just the kind of guy he was. You will be missed by all. Fly high my friend! God bless Barbara, Rachael, Leslie and all Jim's Family! Know he is in our Savior's presence.

Jim was always such a friendly and caring man. I always enjoyed stopping by his business when I would go to Ware Chapel Cemetery where my family is buried. He was young than me, but I always had great respect for all the Ahne Family.
His grandparents lived by us in Scranton and were such endearing neighbors. God Bless you all. Marsha McKennon Loyd

Jim was an icon in the town of Scranton. Honest and hardworking, he was an example of the man we all should strive to be. A family man and more importantly a Godly man! To his family, I am truly sorry for your loss but you can celebrate in knowing he is on his way to his eternal reward in heaven! Carry his memory in your hearts and be the person he inspired you to be. I, like many in the area, considered Jim a true friend.
