Graveside service will be immediately after at Crittenden County Cemetery in Marion. All family and friends are invited.
Pam graduated from Wynne High School and received her degree in Marketing from Belmont University in Nashville. She worked at W. M. Barr in Memphis immediately after graduating from college. She also worked at First Marion as a Ministry Assistant and Marion Elementary school.
Pam was born in Denver, Colorado and at age seven, moved to Wynne, Arkansas. Pam met the love of her life, John Doherty, and moved to Marion, Arkansas. They had two beautiful children, Bradford, and Megan. These three were Pam's life. Their happiest time was just being together, playing games and watching movies at home, going to sporting events, and cheering on her children. Pam never missed an activity of Bradford and Megan. Pam treasured time spent with her mom, dad, and brother. She loved to help her mom decorate for the Holidays, the annual Christmas trip to the Peabody with her dad, and talks with her brother. Her grandmother, Dorothy Barnwell, known as Grandma Dot, was her most significant influence. She was Pam's greatest prayer warrior. Pam went to be with her Lord on her Grandma Dot's birthday.
Her relationship with Jesus Christ was one of the most important aspects of her life. She loved her Lord in every aspect. She loved singing praises to the Lord. Pam will be remembered by her family and friends for her kindness and humility; she lit up the room with her smile. She was kind and gracious, more of a listener, always setting an example for others to follow. Pam trusted the Lord in every aspect of her life. She was a testament to each one of us.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Hubert and Dorothy Barnwell; Thomas and Lillian McGraw.
She is survived by her husband, John Doherty; one son, Bradford Doherty; one daughter, Megan Doherty. She is also survived by her parents, Dan and Bev McGraw; and brother, Scott McGraw (Sunny McGraw). She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She will be remembered and loved by all who knew her.
I am so sorry to be reading this, Pam and I worked together at W.M. Barr, and I remember how sweet and kind she was. She will be missed.truly
Pam was such a kind person and friend. She would do anything for you. I so enjoyed singing and praising the Lord in worship with her, singing in all of the Christmas musicals, and am thankful for the showers that she helped with for our kids over the years. She and I always talked about how much Megan was like Rebekah both in looks when they were little and their strong will 😊 She will be missed by so many friends close and from afar. John, Bradford and Megan, you 3 will continue to be in our prayers. Much love to all of Pam’s family. Praying that you have comfort in knowing that she is in the presence of our Lord and is now completely healed and pain free. â¤ï¸
I didn’t get to see you near enough. When I did get to see you, your smile would light up the room even though you were so soft spoken. Give grandma a hug and kiss from me in heaven. I will miss you Pam! And I love you!
With three grandchildren coming through Avondale, our paths crossed so many time at school functions and activities.
She was such a sweet lady, always willing to help in any way possible and always, always with a smile on her face.
Earth lost an Angel but Heaven gained one.
May the Lord Jesus Christ hold you all through this time and until you are all again with her standing before the throne of God in eternal celebrations. Praying the peace that passes all understanding cover you through this time.
I will miss my sister-in-law, Pam. The joy and happiness she brought into our lives will not be forgotten. I hope it brings you some comfort in knowing that Pam’s life will be celebrated with joy and gratitude by her many, many friends.
I am praying for all of us to find peace and healing through our Lord’s infinite love.
What a bright light Pam was! I loved hearing her voice when I called Avondale. She was always cheerful, helpful and upbeat. It was obvious that she loved her family and her church fiercely. She always left you feeling better about life after talking with her. My sincerest condolences to the family.
I haven’t seen Pam since leaving Wynne in 1986, but we had quite a few memorable moments whether the bus stop, study hall, or just out on campus grounds. We could always find something to giggle about. Condolences to all her family.
Pam was truly an angel. She would talk and help anyone that needed it. I will miss her. Love you forever
It was a pleasure having Pam as part of the Avondale family. Her gentle spirit and honesty was a great treasure to us all. She was such a positive role model and an icon for anyone who met her. I will always have the monogram work that she did as a reminder of her special talent. I am honored to have met and worked with such an honest and sweet person.
Thanks to the Doherty family for sharing Pam with us.
Love, hugs, and prayers!!!
I am so sorry for your loss. Pam was one of the most wonderful women I have ever known. She was always positive, polite, fair, considerate, and loving. We worked at Avondale together for years. She will be greatly missed. I will be praying for your family.
