Danny Harlin Laymon, age 60 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, November 7th, 2021 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas. He was born in Harrison, Arkansas on December 12th, 1960 to John Harlin Laymon and Carolyn Tilley Laymon.
Danny attended church at Morning Star Baptist Church. He graduated from Marshall High School and also attended college at North Arkansas College in Harrison. Danny served in the United States National Guard. He enjoyed doing genealogy and keeping up with the family tree. He liked to take long walks and enjoyed visiting with folks along the way. Danny never met a stranger. His friendly and outgoing personality will be greatly missed by his many friends. Danny was a wonderful husband, dad and granddad.
Survivors include his wife of almost 36 years, Loretta Gorecke Laymon of the home; his children, Brandon Laymon and wife Audreyonna of Marshall and Amanda Casey and husband Destin of Conway; grandchildren, Hope Johnson, Destiny Casey and Meagan Weaver; one brother, Larry Cotton of Marshall; sister, Genette Bishop of Elizabeth; and many extended family and friends who will also mourn his passing.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents, John and Carolyn Laymon.
Memorial services for Danny will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 24th, 2021 at Searcy County Veterans Memorial Hall in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Tim Cypert officiating. Burial will be in Witts Springs Cemetery where Danny will be laid to rest beside his father, John Harlin Laymon.

Danny was a great classmate and friend. I have fond memories of Danny, Romey Jenkins and Gregg Treat keeping us entertained during our high school years. I always enjoyed seeing Danny at our class reunions…he will be greatly missed. Prayers for the family.

I met Danny at the Laymon family reunion a few years ago. My mother is Wanda (Laymon) Kiefer. Danny was very friendly and we visited for quite a while. He was very friendly and fun to visit with. I am sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers for his friends and family!
