Vachel Boone Rose III

of Forrest City, AR

October 7, 1943 - October 27, 2021

Vachel Boone Rose 3rd was born October 7, 1943, in Memphis, TN, and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on October 14th, 1961. He died October 27, 2021, at the age of 78, after battling cancer for 12 years. He fell asleep in death in Forrest City, Ar, at his home with his family and friends by his side.

He was the son of Vachel Boone Rose Jr. and Laura Mavis Hobbs. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Martha Ruth Kitchens Rose, and one son Vachel Boone Rose IV, and his wife (Rebekah Irene Dean Rose) of Forrest City, Ar. Along with four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren with one on the way, one sister Linda Poindexter and her son and her granddaughter of Wynne Ar.

After completing high school, he went on to receive his minister's classification. From there, his life centered on his love for Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ. This meant he was involved in a broad spectrum of spiritual activities as one of Jehovah's witnesses. Just a few of these activities included volunteering to build places of worship, giving Bible discourses, and sharing the good news of God's kingdom and the hope of a beautiful new world with no more suffering or death. He was also a family man and was never too busy to take time out for the important things. He supported his family financially with his locally well-known business Rose's janitorial service of over 50 years. Something else he was well known for was his quick wit and humor.

As a family, we would like to thank Patients Choice, Mid South Medical, all the doctors and nurses who had a part in his care. Also, a special thanks to the many friends who helped us with cards, text messages, calls, prayers, health care, flowers, and thoughts on our behalf. We genuinely appreciate everything. You all have indeed been a strengthening aid to us during these difficult times.

He is laid to rest at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City, Ar. His memorial service will be held Sunday, October 31, 2021, online over zoom at 2:00 PM. Zoom meeting ID: 865 0578 1766 Passcode: vb1943 Audio only: (253) 215-8782 Meeting ID: 865 0578 1766 Passcode: 440482

I knew V.B. was very sick so I stop calling. I love you both as you and V.B. taught me the truth even more. V.B. had to tell me to stop saying Brother Rose when we were out in service. He was so full of love for Jehovah and all his spiritual brothers and sisters. He will be missed. Back when I started going in service I was 21 now I am 74 and still love Jehovah and V.B. played big roll in my love for
Jehovah and all his people here on earth.
My thoughts are with you and your family.

The congregation lost a beautiful comforter. I spent about half of my teen years in Forrest City visiting my sister and family. Brother Rose was always there to offer encouragement, strength and guidance to the then 13-17 year old teen girl. May Jehovah bring you peace and comfort .

VB was a wonderful brother. I still remember hearing him and my papa laughing together when I was little. I love your whole family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Jehovah be with you all as we make it around the corner.
