I don't know the late Charles Wayne in person but I've know Bradly Mannis, his son for well over 1 year. Bradly's spirit is so kind and amazing; always loving without boundaries. I'm sure majority would agree with me that Bradly''s great heart has roots from his father. May Heavenly peace from Christ envelope the entire living family. Blessings

Old Soldiers of the Cross
By: Bill Porter Oct. 9, 2018
The hills and valleys of this old life are sometimes hard to bear,
The ups and downs, the crossings wide, we sometimes have our share.
But some are called to climb those hills, that others find too high,
Giving their all, to set the pace, and reach towards the sky.
There are those, who walk this way, known only to a few,
Their efforts shining brightly, but seldom brought to view.
They do not seek attention, while they work to do their part,
But day by day, keep trudging on, giving deeply from the heart.
Old Soldiers of the cross of Christ, will only seek for peace,
They give their all, with such great price, their efforts never cease.
The hills they climb are often steep, they faint for lack of sleep,
While they trudge on through the darkness, searching for that sheep.
That place where these Old Soldiers go, and find their heavenly bliss,
And loved ones waiting with a smile, and meet them with a kiss.
That one last hill, is oh so high, and it daily takes its toll,
But finally there atop its crest, they leave their very soul.
That crossing is now over, there's no more hills in sight,
No more pain, no more wars, no battles left to fight.
We'll not forget those Soldier's, we'll not forget their smile,
But we are glad, the war is won, and they've journeyed their last mile.
