Christopher C. Estes, age 61, formerly of Poughkeepsie passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 after a lengthy battle with MS.
Chris was born in Batesville, Arkansas on February 12, 1960 to Wilbur (John) and Frances Herndon Estes. He was a 1978 graduate of Poughkeepsie High School and a 1981 graduate of Arkansas State University. After graduating from ASU, Chris went to work for the Federal Land Bank in Pine Bluff. Later, he worked in the banking industry in Pine Bluff and Wynne before joining ABC Block in Little Rock. He was of the Church of Christ faith. He loved spending time on the family farm and being with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, John and daughter, Maranda Estes Verser. He is survived by his mother, Frances of Cave City; son, Aaron Estes (Bobbi) of Bull Shoals; grandchildren, Maddison Verser, Levi Verser, and Jacob Moore of Evening Shade, and Leif and Conner Estes of Bull Shoals; brothers, David Estes (Renae) of Higedon, James Estes (Margo) of Ackworth, Georgia; sister, Julie Johnson (Phillip) of Sidney; nephews, Hayden and Jack Estes of Ackworth, Georgia; nieces, Jenna Rogers (Josh) of Greers Ferry, and Jessie Estes of Barre, Vemont.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm - 6:00pm Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Cave City Church of Christ. A private family service will be held earlier.
Memorials may be made in Chris' honor to the Children's Home Inc., 5515 Walcott Rd, Paragould, AR 72450 or the Cave City Nursing Home Activity Fund, 442 Taylor Dr, Cave City, AR 72521.
